Grumpy Old Men: A Review

GrumpyOldMenDirected By: Donald Petrie
Starring: Jack Lemmon, Walter Matthau
Status: Released

A Lifelong Feud between two former friends has been continuing since forever they have traded barbs and practical jokes since the day they met and now in their golden years the stakes have been raised into an all out rivalry for the affections of an attractive widow who moves in across the street.

Starring an all star cast of a-list actors and actresses including Ann-Margret and Ossie Davis as well as the incomparable Burgess Meredith in his memorable role as Grandpa Gustafson this film does not disappoint on so many levels, The Movies that Jack Lemmon & Walter Matthau have paired up in are so good in their timing you could say their chemistry is to a tee. While some may nitpick that it isn’t up to snuff with a Billy Wilder or Neil Simon movie and problems arise when it veers down the path of drama, you will find the comedy will more than make up for that faux-pas. Definitely a MUST WATCH

My Rating: 5/5 Stars

  1. I am in total agreement. I think Jack and Walter are one of the greatest on-screen duos in cinema history! I watch their movies over and over. I cannot stop watching the “GRUMPY” films and they never disappoint – I always laugh out loud!
