Don’t Stop Believin’: Everyman’s Journey – A Review

DontStopBelievinDirected By: Ramona S. Diaz
Starring: Arnel Pineda, Neal Schon
Status: Released

First off a question, Who has heard of Journey that’s right I mean the iconic band recently inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame known for gobbles of hits including: “Lights”, “Wheel In The Sky”, “Any Way You Want It”, “Open Arms”, “Lovin, Touchin, Squeezin” and of course “Don’t Stop Believing”

This film is the true fish out of water story of Arnel Pineda, a young man who can definitely carry a tune and was plucked from Youtube as was Justin Bieber and Drake before him to lead the iconic rock band Journey following the departure of original lead vocalist Steve Perry due to health reasons. Overcoming a life riddled with obstacles and now holding the responsibility of fronting one of the world’s most famous bands this film follows his life journey from the clubs of The Phillipines to America’s Stadiums.

This is one any Journey fan will want to see, Arnel Pineda is the latest in a handful o stars who have made the move from the confines of the Internet to superstardom. Journey was already a well-established band with a stellar reputation for pumping out stellar hits and topping the charts in countries the world over. Some might argue that Arnel Pineda is a clone of Steve Perry due to his vocal similarities but just remember, other bands have done it beforehand too, such as AC/DC when Brian Johnson was recruited. His star shines brightly as a talented member of an iconic powerhouse.

My Rating: 5/5 Stars
