Chris Columbus makes his directorial debut in the holiday favourite that countless critics went crazy over.

Eight year-old Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) becomes the man of the house when he is accidentally left behind for the holidays when his family rushes off on a Christmas vacation to Paris. So he starts decorating the house for the holidays but he soon finds out he is not alone…

Two bumbling burglars (played by Joe Pesci & Daniel Stern) are trying to stage a break-in to the McCallister residence. Kevin then prepares to defend himself by gutting his house full of a wild assortment of Booby Traps to welcome them with and with his wild imagination these traps will be unforgettable to the two clueless crooks.

Filled with amazing stunt work which adds an extra layer of hilarity to the film, this is one film that should be on anybody’s watch list.

My rating: 5/5 Stars
